We act as the middle man, so when someone calls your Burner, the Burner forwards the call to your main cell number.Įach time you sign into Burner, a verification code is set to your account number (your main cell phone number) which you enter into the app to finish logging in. The number you use to create your account must be your main cell phone number. Your Account Number ( Main Cell Phone Number) International numbers and calls are not available yet, but we are looking into them. We currently have numbers available in the United States and Canada. Australian users can also text through US/CA phone numbers. The person on the other end only sees your Burner number on the caller ID, a number which can't be easily traced back to your real number. We protect your privacy by forwarding calls on your burner through you to your main cell number. That way, your real phone number-increasingly used as a primary identifier and security tool online-is never exposed to people, companies, or risks you aren't comfortable with.
